We are now a Disability Cricket Champion Club

We are now a Disability Cricket Champion Club

One of three in Lincolnshire - the others being Haxey and Skegness. Cricket is an inclusive sport by its nature; a sport that many people play, follow and have a passion for.

Across England and Wales, the ECB wishes to support cricket clubs to open their gates and deliver cricket opportunities for those with disabilities. The Disability Cricket Champion Club Programme will support cricket clubs through guidance, resources and equipment, enabling them to welcome individuals with additional needs and varying abilities to support them to play, follow, officiate and volunteer. Creating a truly equitable club game and providing fantastic new opportunities for cricketers and for the Champion Clubs.

Amongst ongoing activities will be All Stars and Dynamos sessions for SEND youngsters indoors up to Christmas 2023 then Sessions for 12-year-olds upwards indoors in Spring 2024 and then outdoors in the summer. We also send 2 coaches to the wonderful Laffletics group every 5/6 weeks on a Saturday morning - see the pictures below. Details are under our “Kids Cricket” section.
